Rear Cover with Piston C1, Dismantle and Assemble

Remove
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out

1. |
Remove transmission
|
2. |
Attach transmission to KM-694-A
(2)

Attach assembly to KM-113-2 (1)
|
|
3. |
Remove oil drain bolt (3)
• |
Drain transmission fluid and collect for damage diagnosis
|
|
|
|
6. |
Remove thrust bearing (1)
• |
Remove 3x cut seal ring (3) from bearing journal
|
|
7. |
Replace O-ring on piston C1
• |
Remove cover for piston C1
|
• |
Remove spring (4) and piston C1 (5)
|
• |
Replace O-ring (6) on piston C1
|
|
8. |
Measure outer diameter (I) and length (II) of spring C1
• |
Replace spring if necessary
– |
Measured value, outer diameter (I): 20.7 mm
|
– |
Measured value, spring length (II): 66.6 mm
|
|
|
|
|
Install
9. |
Pull needle bearing using MKM-691 (1)
and KM-556-1 (2) out of pin in rear
cover
• |
if necessary (pull-off arms of KM-556-1 too short), place KM-502-A under the pull-off arms of KM-556-1
|
|
10. |
Press in needle bearing using KM-711-2 (3) until the tool bears against the pin
(4)
|
11. |
Attach cover C1 to rear cover
• |
Insert piston and spring in rear cover
|
• |
Attach cover C1 to rear cover 10
Nm
|
|
12. |
Attach new cut seal rings to bearing journal
Note: Expand seal rings
no more than is necessary.

|
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out

14. |
Install converter
|
15. |
Attach oil drain bolt (3) to transmission with seal ring
Note: Use new seal
ring.
• |
Tighten oil drain bolt 40 Nm
|
|
16. |
Detach transmission assembly with KM-694-A (2) from KM-113-2
(1)
• |
Detach transmission from KM-694-A
|
|
17. |
Install transmission
• |
Top up with transmission fluid
|
|
18. |
Check and correct transmission fluid level
|
|
|
