Valve Body, Remove and Install (Transmission
Removed) (AF22)
 Remove
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out

Remove transmission
|
| 2. |
Attach transmission to KM-694-A
(2)
| • |
Attach assembly to KM-113-2 (1)
|
|
| 3. |
Remove oil drain bolt (3)
| • |
Drain transmission fluid and collect for damage diagnosis 
|
|
|
|
| 5. |
Detach valve body cover from transmission
| • |
Unscrew 8x bolt (arrows)
Note: Fluid escapes
– place pan underneath.
|
|
|
|
|
| 6. |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from solenoid valve
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from 1-2/3-4 shift (1)
|
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from 2-3 shift (2)
|
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from pressure regulator (3)
|
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from solenoid valve, converter
clutch (4)
|
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from solenoid valve, shift
to/from neutral (5)
|
| • |
Pull wiring harness out of retaining clamp and expose
|
|
| 7. |
Detach valve body
| • |
Carefully remove intake cover (7)
|
| • |
Unscrew 7x bolt (arrows)
Note: Note differing
bolt lengths
|
| • |
Carefully pull back valve body and unhook connecting rod from
toothed section
|
|
|
Install
| 9. |
Insert new seal rings with assembly grease into transmission
housing
|
| 10. |
Insert valve body into transmission housing
| • |
Hook connecting rod (2) into toothed section (1)
|
|
| 11. |
Insert 7x bolt (arrows)
|
| 12. |
Attach valve body to transmission
| • |
Tighten 7x bolt 7 Nm
Note: Note differing
bolt lengths.

| 13. |
Place intake cover (4) with new seal on valve body
|
| 14. |
Insert wiring harness in retaining clamps
| • |
Place wiring harness plug on solenoid valves and pressure
regulator
|
|
| 15. |
Clean sealing surfaces on valve body cover and transmission
|
|
|
| 16. |
Recut thread for bolts (arrows) in transmission housing
| • |
Clean bolt threads (arrows) and coat with locking compound
Note: Note differing
bolt lengths
|
|
| 17. |
Coat valve body cover with sealing compound and attach to
transmission 25 Nm
|
|
|
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out
|
| 18. |
Install converter
|
| 19. |
Attach oil drain bolt (3) to transmission with seal ring
Note: Use new seal
ring.
| • |
Tighten oil drain bolt 40 Nm
|
|
| 20. |
Detach transmission assembly with KM-694-A (2) from KM-113-2
(1)
|
| 21. |
Detach transmission from KM-694-A
|
| 23. |
Check and correct transmission fluid level
|
|
|
|
