Unlocking Selector Lever Lock in the Event of a
Malfunction (AF17 / AF22)
Note: If the selector
lever is not in the "P" position when the vehicle is left standing
for a long period the battery can run flat. To prevent the battery
from discharging, always remove the ignition key from the ignition
lock when leaving for a period, including overnight.
 Remove

Carefully detach selector lever gaiter (1) from selector lever
cover

Slide the gaiter upwards
|

| 2. |
Release the selector lever
| • |
Use a pin (or a pen) to push the release lever (2) on the
selector lever lock solenoid switch forwards (arrow) and hold in
this position.

Press the lock control on the selector lever and disengage the
selector lever from the "P" position
|
|
|
Install
| 3. |
Clip the selector lever gaiter into the selector lever
cover
