Check: Short to Voltage of Signal Circuit

  • Ignition OFF
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    (Wiring Harness Connector XC61 )
  • Ignition ON
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 4 (XC61)
    &
    Ground

less than 0.3 V

Check: Short to Ground of Signal Circuit

  • Ignition OFF
  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 4 (XC61)
    &
    Ground

greater than 500 kOhm

Resistance Measurement Current Value: kOhm

Check: Component

  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 4 (XC61)
    &
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 9 (XC61)

Note:

Automatic transmission oil temperature between 15 °C (59 °F) and 25 °C (77 °F)

Temperature 20 °C (68 °F) : 5 ... 5.6 Ohm

  • Connect unfused jumper wire to:

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 9 (XC61)
    &
    Battery voltage

Note:

Note:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

    Y1_X121 Solenoid Valve Linear - Torque Converter Clutch
E003 Result: Short Circuit in Wiring Harness
  • Short circuit in wiring harness between:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
