Replace axle shaft seal rings (AF17/AF22/AF40)

  Remove

1.   Remove lower engine compartment cover LUREF_1.gif
Note:   If present.
2.   Remove axle shaft
Important:   Do not damage sealing surfaces.
3.   Remove axle shaft seal ring
•   Remove axle shaft seal ring with KM-557-1 (2) and KM-557-2 (1)

  Install

4.   Install axle shaft seal ring
•   Coat axle shaft seal ring with transmission fluid
•   Install axle shaft seal ring flush with KM-446 (1)

5.   Install axle shaft
6.   Fit lower engine compartment cover LUREF_1.gif
Note:   If present.
7.   Check transmission fluid level
•   AF17
•   AF22
•   AF40
