Astra H

Drive shaft and/or drive shaft ball bearing, replace (F13+/F13+ MTA)

Note:   Transmission remains installed.


Overview drive shaft

  Remove

1.   Remove end plate
•   Astra-G
•   Astra-H
•   Corsa-D
•   Meriva
2.   Remove drive shaft
Note:   In case of damage to the teeth of the toothed wheel block, always check the main shaft of the corresponding gear wheel and replace it if necessary.

3.   Remove drive shaft bearing (1) from end plate
•   Remove lock ring (4)
•   Press bearing out with KM-500-5
4.   Remove main shaft bearing (2) from end plate
•   Remove lock ring (3)
•   Press bearing out with KM-500-5

5.   Clean all parts and sealing surfaces
6.   Check all parts for damage
Note:   Replace damaged parts.

  Install

7.   Oil turning parts with transmission oil on their bearing, running, seating or press surfaces

8.   Install drive shaft bearing (1) in end plate
•   Press bearing in with KM-519
•   Install lock ring (4)
9.   Install main shaft bearing (2) in end plate
•   Press bearing in with KM-373-1
•   Install lock ring (3)

10.   Install drive shaft
11.   Install end plate
•   Astra-G
•   Astra-H
•   Corsa-D
•   Meriva
