Manual Shift Lever, Replace (F13/F13 +/F17+)
Remove
3. |
Release gearshift rod
• |
Release bolt (1) for relay point clamp
Note: Do not remove
bolt.

Remove manual shift lever assembly (1)
• |
Unscrew 4 bolts (2...4)
|
• |
Pull out manual shift lever assembly with gearshift linkage
from bulkhead
|
|
|
Install
|
5. |
Install manual shift lever assembly (1)
Important: Note gearshift linkage
bellows in bulkhead.
|
• |
Feed manual shift lever assembly with gearshift linkage through
bulkhead
|
• |
Tighten 4x bolt (2...4) 10 Nm
|
|
|
6. |
Lock manual shift lever in adjustment position
• |
Push manual shift lever to the left
|
• |
Lock manual shift lever and shift lever housing (arrows) with
KM-527-A (1)
|
|
|
|
7. |
Lock gearshift lever shaft in the gearbox cover
• |
Turn gearshift rod anti-clockwise
|
• |
Engage locking pin (1) in the adjusting bore in the gearbox
cover (arrow)
|
|
|
|
8. |
Fix gearshift rod
Note: Do not change
position of gearshift rod.
• |
Tighten bolt (1) 12 Nm +
(180...225)°
|
|
|
|
9. |
Release manual shift lever lock
|
|
|
10. |
Release locking pin in the gearbox cover
Note: Locking pin in
adjusting bore hole releases automatically when first shifted in
"R" direction – if necessary release locking pin by hand.

Check ease of gear shifting
|
13. |
Program volatile memories
|
14. |
Install centre console
|
