Set transmission parameters (F13 MTA/F17+ MTA) > < Transmission Shift Linkage, Adjust (F13/F13+)

Transmission Shift Linkage, Adjust (F 17+)

  Remove

1.   Remove battery support
2.   Release gearshift rod
•   Release bolt (1) for relay point clamp
Note:   Do not remove bolt.

3.   Detach cover of manual shift lever (1)
•   Unclip cover of manual shift lever at the front (arrows) from central console
•   Prop up cover of manual shift lever with cover frame

4.   Lock manual shift lever in adjustment position
•   Push manual shift lever to the left
•   Lock manual shift lever and shift lever housing (arrows) with KM-527-A (1)

5.   Lock gearshift lever shaft in the gearbox cover
•   Turn gearshift rod anti-clockwise
Direction of 3rd gear
•   Engage locking pin (1) in the adjusting bore in the gearbox cover (arrow)

  Install

6.   Fix gearshift rod
Note:   Do not change position of gearshift rod.
•   Tighten bolt (1) 12 Nm + (180...225)°

7.   Release manual shift lever lock
•   Detach KM-527-A (1)

8.   Attach cover of manual shift lever (1)
•   Insert cover of manual gearshift lever at the rear in the central console
•   Clip cover of manual gearshift lever into the central console at the front (arrows)

9.   Release locking pin in the gearbox cover
Note:   Locking pin in adjusting bore hole releases automatically when first shifted in "R" direction – if necessary release locking pin by hand.
10.   Check ease of gear shifting
•   with vehicle standing
•   with engine running
•   with clutch disengaged
11.   Install battery support
12.   Program volatile memories
