Rattling noise and vibrations gearshift
lever 3rd gear. |
| Cause: |
Tumbling of shift sleeve inside transmission
causes vibration of internal shift system. This vibration is
transmitted to the shift cable. |

Introduction of damped shift cables with 3
crimped steel sleeves in production to reduce vibrations with the
following VIN´s: For Astra-H: - Plant Bochum with VIN

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint install new shift cables with the crimped
steel sleeves. The part number remains unchanged. Only new parts in
warehouse.
