DPF |
Complaint: |
Exhaust assembly becomes too hot. |
Cause: |
Service regeneration is carried more than
once, because in the Tech 2 datalist the soot loading is set to 78%
altrough the first service regeneration is succesfully
performed. |
Production: |
|
Remedy:
In case of a customer complaint because of glogged DPF please check
first relevant TSB's (e.g. 1976, 2054, 2096) to verify the correct
cause for the glogged DPF, and before first time service regeneration
the rear heat protection shield has to be retrofitted with a
heat protection foil.
Note:
The DPF service regeneration must be carried only once to avoid
consequentional damages. As of TIS 2000-DVD, version 81 the Tech 2
will allow a repeated service regeneration only after a certain mileage.
