Check: Component
  • Ignition OFF
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    S255 Switch - Minimum Capacity, Washer Fluid
  • Ignition ON

Data List

  • Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
    Instrument
  • Check the following data list parameters:
    Washer Level Switch

This data list parameter is in the data list 4 .

  • Ignition ON

  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module
  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 16 (XE1)
    &
    S255 Switch - Minimum Capacity, Washer Fluid
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2

less than 5 Ohm

  • Ignition OFF
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module
  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2
    &
    Ground

greater than 500 kOhm

  • Defective component:
    S255 Switch - Minimum Capacity, Washer Fluid
E002 Result: Defective Component
  • Defective component:
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module

Note:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.
E003 Result: Interruption
  • Circuit interruption between:
    S255 Switch - Minimum Capacity, Washer Fluid
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2
    &
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 16 (XE1)

  • Circuit interruption between:
    S255 Switch - Minimum Capacity, Washer Fluid
