Replace Open and Start receiver in bottom of rear panel L35 > < Replace Open and Start receiver in centre console (rear)

Replace Open and Start receiver in front door

  Remove

Object Number: 3446451 Size: DEFAULT

1.   Detach handle panel (3), front door inner panelling
•   Lever out upwards with plastic wedge
2.   Remove inner panelling for exterior mirror (1)
•   Undo 3x clip
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug
3.   Detach interior door actuation panel (2)
•   Lever out with plastic wedge

4.   Detach front door inner panelling
•   Unscrew 7x bolt (arrows)
Note:   Use a plastic wedge to detach the inner panelling (1).

5.   Detach front door inner panelling
•   Undo 5x clip
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug
•   Unhook interior door actuation Bowden cable (arrows)
•   Remove inner panelling

6.   Disconnect wiring harness plug of Open and Start system
•   Open clamps
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug

7.   Detach front door panel
•   Lever out panel (1) with a plastic wedge

8.   Remove fixed front door handle component with lock cylinder
•   Pull moveable handle component (I) outward and hold
•   Turn bolt (II) anticlockwise until it audibly reaches a stop
Note:   The moveable handle component must now be fixed in the pulled position.
•   Remove fixed handle component with lock cylinder (IV)
9.   Remove door handle
•   Remove moveable handle component (III) rearward

  Install

10.   Install door handle
•   Insert moveable handle component in door panel
11.   Install fixed front door handle component with lock cylinder
•   Insert fixed handle component with lock cylinder
•   Turn bolt clockwise until it audibly reaches a stop
Note:   While turning the bolt, the moveable handle component must be pulled.
12.   Attach front door panel
13.   Connect wiring harness plug of Open and Start system
14.   Insert front door inner panelling
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Attach interior door actuation Bowden cable
•   Clip in 5x clip
15.   Attach front door inner panelling
•   Tighten 7x bolt
16.   Attach inner panelling for exterior mirror
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Clip in 3x clip
17.   Attach interior door actuation panel
18.   Attach handle panel, front door inner panelling
