Replace tailgate lock actuating unit L35
 Remove
| 1. |
Remove tailgate upper inner panelling, left and right
|
|
|
| 2. |
Remove tailgate lock panel
| • |
Remove body-bound rivet
|
|
| 3. |
Remove tailgate lower inner panelling
| • |
Remove 2x body-bound rivet (II)
|
|
|
|
|
| 4. |
Remove protective trim
Note: Middle fixing
bolts to be inserted from the outside with additional locking
compound!

Remove 2x exterior cover caps (I)
|
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug
|
|
|
| 5. |
Remove 8x threaded bolts
| • |
Remove 8x sideways from mounting
|
|
| 6. |
Remove right-hand number plate lamp
| • |
Unscrew bulb holder from number plate lamp housing
|
|
| 8. |
Remove left-hand number plate lamp
| • |
Unscrew bulb holder from number plate lamp housing
|
|
| 10. |
Remove central plug from tailgate-panel mounting
| • |
Unlock plug
| – |
Remove plug with wiring harness from guide (arrow)
|
|
|
|
|
| 11. |
Remove tailgate lock control switch
| • |
Unlock 2x guide (arrow)
| – |
Remove switch with full wiring harness
|
|
|
|
|
Install
| 12. |
Install tailgate lock control switch
| • |
Lock 2x guide
| – |
Replace switch with full wiring harness
|
|
| • |
Position wiring harness
|
|
| 13. |
Install central plug in tailgate panel mounting
|
| 15. |
Install left-hand number plate lamp
| • |
Insert bulb holder into number plate lamp housing
|
| • |
Secure number plate lamp housing guide
|
|
| 17. |
Install right-hand number plate lamp
| • |
Insert bulb holder into number plate lamp housing
|
| • |
Secure number plate lamp housing guide
|
|
| 18. |
Install 8x threaded bolts
| • |
Insert 8x into mounting
|
|
| 19. |
Install tailgate protective trim
| • |
Connect wiring harness plug
|
| • |
Install 2 exterior cover caps
|
|
| 20. |
Install tailgate lower inner panelling
| • |
Insert 2x body-bound rivet
|
|
| 21. |
Insert tailgate lock panel
|
| 22. |
Insert tailgate upper inner panelling, left and right
|
|
