Remedy:

In case of customer complaint please follow the procedure as 
described below. 

- First of all please check whether the vehicle is equipped boot lid 
locking or not. This option must be programmed/changed with Tech-2!

- Please use Tech-2 to read out roof ECU Part-No. and software version

The improvements and correctives as follows have been introduced 
in production:

VIN range: W0L0AHL6765159611 - W0L0AHL6775216532 
Period of Production: 01.04.2006 - 27.08.2007 
Part-No. Roof ECU: #13 197 774, Software: 1.31 and flap motors with 
bush bearing
Corrective action: Regarding the battery discharging problem the 
roof ECU can be programmed from S/W version 1.31 with 1.33 or higher. 
In case of the flap motors must be replaced, than the roof ECU has 
to be replaced as well! 
Remark: Without a boot lid locking!

Period of Production: until 27.08.2007 
Part-No. Roof ECU: #13 254 764, Software: 1.32 and flap motors 
with bush bearing
Corrective action: Replace linkage flap motors and program roof 
ECU from S/W version 1.32 with 1.34 or higher

Corrective: None repair action required!
Remark: With a boot lid locking!

After the replacement of the linkage flap motors some Trouble 
Codes (e.g. B368C, B368D, B132C, B132D) and noises can be 
appear. This noises and TC´s will be caused by axial clearance 
of the linkage flap motors in their end position. In case the 
above mentioned DTC´s will be read out with Tech2 please do not 
start any repair actions. The complaint will be 
corrected during the next movement.

Note:

Roof ECU - programming with TECH2, at step "motor locking boot lid", 
check if the vehicle is equipped with a boot lid locking or not.
(Standard as of model year 2008).

Vehicles without a boot lid locking: 
The boot lid can be moved while "easy load" function is activated.

=> Set motor locking to "not existing" in TECH2.

Vehicles with boot lid locking: 
The boot lid can not be moved while "easy load" function is activated.

=> Set motor locking to "existing" in TECH2.

Remark:

In case of a warranty claim a linkage flap motor or a roof control 
unit have to be replaced, please send us the part with an attached 
failure report and a detailed failure description!
