update CD is sticking in the radio. |
| Cause: |
Software update procedure was
interrupted. |

Remedy:
A radio, where the software update procedure was interrupted, do
not eject the update CD anymore and must be replaced
afterwards.
Note: Radios with this complaint will not be accepted by
warranty and will be sent back to the dealer.
Description of the software update procedure:
-Connect Tech 2,
-Choose menu item "Programming",
-Choose menu item "Activation Software Update",
-Insert the softwareupdate CD in the CD50 Phone,
-The update process starts automatically and will take about 30 up to 45 minutes
Remarks:
-To ensure a constant voltage level during the update process the engine must not be started,
-During the update process the Tech 2 has to be connected with the vehicle and ignition and radio must not be switched on or off,
-Possible changes of the display color are normal during the process and can be ignored
