Remedy:
In case of customer complaint the field intensity of the radio has to
be checked via the Tech 2 and if necessary an additional check for
poorly mounted radio and antenna connectors/pins has to be carried out
afterwards. Furthermore the value of the supply voltage of the radio
antenna has to be measured on the white pin on the backside of the
radio. The value should be approximately 12 Volts.
Note: Due to the fact that the radio reception condition depends on
several influences (chances in distance to the transmitter, weather,
topography, multi-path reception due to reflection etc.), the radio is
designed to suppress these unpleasant side effects by cutting the
higher tone frequencies first and swichting from stereo to mono in
extreme situations as a further step. The customers declare this
measures in most of the cases as poor radio reception. Replacement of
the radio will not be successful therefore don't replace radio in such
a case.
