Complaint |
The DIC message of "AC off due to high temp"
comes up and the TC P0128 is stored. |
Cause |
After switching off the hot engine the
coolant temperature could reach above 130°C. This high
temperature causes the thermostat to open until the limit stop and
stick in the open position. The measured coolant temperatures in
radiator and engine will be rated as illogical which causes the
trouble code and also switches off the air conditioning. |
Production |
Improved thermostats have been introduced in
production as the following engine: 19WA3763 (03-Jan-2011). |
Remedy
In case of customer complaint replace the thermostat.
First batches of improved parts are market with a green dot.
