| Complaint: |
SVS on, several trouble codes regarding
lambda probe diagnosis stored in ECU. |
| Cause: |
Coolant water can enter wiring harness
because of a slight leakage in thermostat plug. This may result in
a signal distortion. |
| Production: |
Introduction of improved thermostats in
production as of engine B/P: 20RB5850 (Jan 2011). |
Remedy:
Check first if vehicle is included in Service Update
11-P-006.
In case of a lambda sensor trouble code, the plug connection of
the thermostat has to be checked. In case the plug connection is
oxidized the thermostat has to be exchanged and the wiring harness
to be checked carefully.
