Loss of power, “Service Vehicle
Soon” message comes up in info display. Trouble code P 003A
(00), P0299 (00) and P2263 (5B) might be set. |
| Cause: |
Mismatch of turbocharger. Due to a front
crash it might happen that the compressor housing of the
turbocharger is out of alignment after being hit by the radiator
fan causing a mismatch of the turbocharger rod. |

Remedy:
In case of complaint please clarify in detail whether vehicle in
charge suffered or suffers from a front crash.
If so it might have happened that due to the crash the compressor
housing of the T/C might be touched by the radiator fan, etc.
causing a mismatch of the T/C.
Please find attached a procedure how to check the T/C regarding a
possible mismatch:
a.) Connect vacuum pump (Mity vac, KM-667) to T/C actuator and apply
vacuum for about 600 mbar.
b.) In this condition the lever must touch the bar, no gap
allowed.
c.) Check condition visually as well as with a proper gauge.
A condition as shown in the attached picture is not allowed and
requires a replacement of the T/C.
In case the compressor housing is distorted marks from the former
position of the washer/screw at the housing might be visible.
