Crankshaft Sprocket Replacement

Special Tools

•  EN-956-1   Extension
•  EN-47630   Crankshaft Holder

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .

3. Install the EN-47630   holder (1) in combination with EN-956-1   extension (2) to the crankshaft sprocket.

Note:  The bolt has left hand thread.
4. Remove the crankshaft sprocket bolt (3) and the spacer (2).
5. Remove the crankshaft sprocket (1) with the EN-47630   holder .

Installation Procedure

Note:  The crankshaft sprocket only fits in one position.
1. Install the crankshaft sprocket (1).
2. Install the crankshaft sprocket spacer (2).

Note:  The bolt has left hand thread.
3. Install and handtighten the crankshaft sprocket bolt (3).

4. Install the EN-47630   crankshaft holder (1) in combination with EN-956-1   extension (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
5. Tighten the crankshaft sprocket bolt to 340 N·m (251 lb ft) .
6. Remove the EN-47630   holder (1) and the EN-956-1   extension (2).
7. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
8. Close the hood.
