Engine Flywheel Replacement

Special Tools

EN-46792   Flywheel Holder

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the clutch pressure and driven plate. Refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .

3. Lock the flywheel (2) by using the EN-46792   holder (1).

4. Remove and DISCARD the 6 flywheel bolts (2).
5. Remove the EN-46792   holder .
6. Remove the flywheel (1).

Installation Procedure

Note:  The flywheel only fits in one position.
1. Install the flywheel (1) and loosely install the 6 NEW flywheel bolts (2).

2. Install the EN-46792   holder (1) to the flywheel (2) in order to lock the crankshaft.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
3. Tighten the flywheel bolts to 160 N·m (118 lb ft) .
4. Install the clutch pressure and driven plate. Refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .
5. Close the hood.
