Separate Body / Underbody Corrosion Protection Service
Opel / Vauxhall guarantee for a period of six years that the body will not be subject to rust perforation, on condition that, among other items, the regulations issued by Opel / Vauxhall regarding use, maintenance and care of the vehicle (Owner's Manual) are observed and especially that the inspections specified in the Service Maintenance Booklet are performed.
This includes an inspection of the body paint and the underbody corrosion protection for any damage, a feature of the Annual Inspection which is due every year or every 15, 000 km / 10, 000 miles. The customer must be informed of any damage detected and its elimination.
As of Model Year '96, the above mentioned inspection can be offered annually at a separate charge after the vehicle warranty has elapsed, independently of the Opel / Vauxhall Annual Inspection. The annual check is acknowledged in the Service Maintenance Booklet on separate stamp fields with the signature, date and kilometrage / mileage.
The customer is advised to take advantage of this offer to maintain the validity of the warranty regarding any body corrosion perforation.
