Corsa-B, Tigra

 

 

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug:

     X10 plug, engine & injectors

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage:

     from:       X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

     to:           ground

 

4.5 to 5.5 V

 

 

·   Short circuit to voltage

     (with measured value higher than 5.5 V) or short circuit to ground/circuit interruption

     (with measured value lower than 4.5 V)

     from:       K57 engine control unit Ter. E1

     to:           X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (Corsa-B, Tigra)

·   K57 engine control unit defective

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage:

     from:       X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

     to:           ground

 

lower than 0.1 V

 

·   Short circuit to voltage

     from:       X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

     to:           P46 knock sensor

 

·   Ignition OFF

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance:

     from:       X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

     to:           ground

about 4 kW

·   Short circuit to ground or lead interruption

     from:       X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 4 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

     to:           P46 knock sensor

·   Check P46 knock sensor ground connection

·   P46 knock sensor defective

 

Astra- F

 

 

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from:

     P46 knock sensor

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

     from:       P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor (control unit side)

     to:           ground

 

4.5 to 5.5 V

 

·   Short circuit to voltage

     (with measured value higher than 5.5 V) or short circuit to ground/circuit interruption

     (with measured value lower than 4.5 V)

     from:       K57 engine control unit Ter. E1

     to:           P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor

·   K57 control unit defective

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

     from:       P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor (component side)

     to:           ground

 

lower than 0.1 V

 

·   Short circuit to voltage

     from:       P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor

     to:           P46 knock sensor

 

·   Ignition OFF

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance:

     from:       P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor (component side)

     to:           ground

about 4 kW

·   Short circuit to ground or lead interruption

     from:       P46 wiring harness plug for knock sensor

     to:           P46 knock sensor

·   Check P46 knock sensor ground connection

·   P46 knock sensor defective
