Pressure Valve in Air Filter Housing > < Oil Cooler, Replace

 

Oil Cooler Thermostat, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove crankcase vent from cylinder head cover (1).  

Disconnect hose between intake pipe and intake manifold (2).  

Unbolt charge air pipe from intake manifold (3).

Unbolt bracket for intake pipe and charge air pipe from cylinder head (see illus.).  

Remove oil dipstick guide tube from cylinder block.  

Unbolt intake pipe from bracket on charge air pipe.  

Object Number: 2379231  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Detach charge air pipe hose clamp from turbocharger and remove charge air pipe from engine compartment (see illus. I).  

Remove coolant hoses between oil cooler and thermostat housing or connection on cylinder head completely (see illus. II).  

Collect escaping coolant.  

Unscrew connection from cylinder head (see illus. III).  

Object Number: 616195  Size: DEFAULT  Clean   

Clean sealing surfaces at cylinder head.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Screw connection with new gasket to cylinder head (see illus. III).  

Object Number: 616199  Size: DEFAULT  Tighten (Torque)   

Connection to cylinder head - 30 Nm / 22 lbf. ft.  

Object Number: 2394191  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Install coolant hoses.  

Install oil dipstick guide tube with new seal ring. Screw charge air pipe with new gasket to intake manifold. Tighten hose clamp to turbocharger. Screw bracket for intake pipe to cylinder head.  

Object Number: 616199  Size: DEFAULT  Tighten (Torque)   

Charge air pipe to intake manifold - 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.  
 

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Object Number: 2379253  Size: DEFAULT

Install hose between intake pipe and intake manifold. Connect crankcase vent.  

Top up coolant via compensation tank. Ensure that anti-freeze is adequate down to - 30 ° C/- 22 ° F. Cooling system bleeds automatically during engine warm-up phase.  

Object Number: 616196  Size: DEFAULT  Inspect   

Allow engine to cool. Check coolant level, correct if necessary.  

Object Number: 2385395  Size: DEFAULT
