Foreword, general, International The international Service Plan applies worldwide, with the exception of the following countries: A, AND, B, BIH, BG, CH, CZ, DK, D, E, FIN, F, FL, GB, GR, H, I, IRL, HR, L, MC, MK, NL, N, PL, P, RO, S, SK, SLO, and TR. The international Service Plan can be used worldwide, taking special country-specific features such as differing legal requirements, materials, operating materials and service intervals into consideration. These cannot be taken into consideration individually and are therefore not included in the Service Plan publication. Separate information must be taken into consideration if necessary. This publication contains the Service Plan information from MY 2001 (model year code in the vehicle identification no. = "1", "2", "3" and "4" = 10th digit from the left) of all Opel / Vauxhall cars registered for the first time. The present publication replaces the "Service Plan MY 2001 to MY 2004", KTA-2467/04 dated August 2003. The engine oil change interval continues to be 15,000 km in the countries not listed above (international) for all cars with petrol and diesel engines. The Service Plan Checklist "Int15" (Petrol- or Diesel-Engined Cars MY 2001 to MY 2004) is required for this. Exceptions: Engine oils available on a nationally specific basis for which the interval is 10,000 km (Int10). Many "international" countries have a 1 year / 15,000 km Main Service. Under local conditions it may be necessary to perform certain service work sooner. This publication only contains the maximum values. The "Business Units" decide whether certain work has to be performed more often than we recommend depending on the local situation. The Service Booklets for these "international countries" have taken this into consideration since MY 2001. These Service Booklets also contain ACEA to API reference tables and viscosity tables. The engine oil change interval depends on the grade of engine oil available. From MY 2001 1/2, the Service Plan will only be available on TIS (paperless). From MY 2003 1/2 some countries will also have a hard copy version. The following inspection brochures (service plans) remain valid:
The KTA-numbers have changed because of the changed toothed belt intervals from MY 1997 to MY 2000.
Service Plan operations for the Arena, Vivaro, Movano, Campo, Frontera-B and Speedster are listed in a separate publication for these vehicles and are not included in this edition. Meriva, Vectra-C and Signum When the vehicle is delivered, the Meriva, Vectra-C and Signum instrument clusters are programmed to 1 year / 15,000 km for international purposes. The ECO oil life monitoring interval is disabled. This is shown by so-called band-end programming. It is not currently possible for the dealer to program another mileage (for international purposes). The Meriva, Signum and Vectra-C are in the same situation as the Corsa-C, the Corsa-C Combo, the Astra-G and the Zafira for international purposes, where the "INSP" indicator illuminates after a fixed period of 1 year / 15,000 km. The use of ACEA grade engine oil has been assumed. Differing specifications (engine oils) are described in item 14 of the operation text. Vectra-C with Z 22 SE engine If no Super unleaded fuels are available it is possible to use 91 octane fuel, provided that the vehicle is not driven with high engine loads, at top speed or in mountainous terrain with heavy loads. Checklist "I" Checklist "I" has been deleted because the engine oil required for the Y 25 DT engine (ACEA A3/B3) is not available internationally. General The information contained in this publication represents the status at the time of issue. Every service job (main service) must be carried out with the corresponding service plan checklist. The checklist must be filled in completely and given to the customer with the invoice, without the customer having to request it. The checklist used must agree with the checklist in the customer's service booklet. The definitive document is the checklist, some of whose listed operations may be modified (in comparison to the Service Booklet). The two lists differ with regard to the toothed belt change intervals MY 1997 - 2002 and battery terminals, airbag visual inspection, air conditioning function test during the test drive. Supplement: Wheel bearing grease – Corsa-B, Combo-B, Tigra Wheel bearing grease 19 48 606 – 90 51 03 36 (4 g) and 19 48 608 – 90 51 22 80 (100 g) for Corsa-B, Combo-B and Tigra must be replaced by the following wheel bearing grease: 19 48 613 – 9 163 334. Points of application: Tapered roller bearings were and still are used on the rear axle:

Distinguishing features of petrol engine oil pans Aluminium oil pan: metallic colour, with connection to transmission Sheet metal oil pan: painted black, flanged exclusively to cylinder block. V6 engines are fitted with a combination oil pan made from die-cast aluminium and sheet metal carrier. Transverse installation diesel: X 20 DTL and X 20 DTH engine only as die cast aluminium oil pans. 1 ) Hexagon bolt (metal seal ring) - 45 Nm, internal Torx bolt (rubber seal ring) - 14 Nm 2 ) With rubber seal ring 10 Nm, with metal seal ring 45 Nm. 3 ) Fit cover of oil filter housing to oil filter housing, (metal cover 30 Nm, plastic cover 25 Nm). 4 ) Fit oil drain plug to oil pan with new gasket (bolt M12 x 1.5 - 25 Nm, bolt M16 x 1.5 - 45 Nm |
