Field Remedy: 1476

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint remove the collar of fuel filler pipe and 
apply gluing compound seal on the metal sheet under the fuel filler pipe.

Working Procedure:

 1. Remove filler cap of fuel filler.
 2. Remove fuel filler flap

    - see working procedure "Fuel Filler Flap, Remove and Install", 
      group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C.

 3. Remove locking of fuel filler cover (If present, remove servo motor 
    fuel filler cover out of locking, do not sepparate electrically). 
 4. Remove collar of fuel filler (picture I, pointed area).

 5. Install filler cap on fuel filler.
 6. Clean collar completely with silicon remover.
 7. Clean metal sheet fuel filler opening with silicon remover.

Note:

    Make sure that all dirt remainings will be removed.

 8. Apply appr. 6 mm thick rope gluing compound seal on the metal 
    sheet below fuel filler (picture II).

Note:

     Apply the rope of gluing compound seal in a way that the rope
     overlaps the sheet rims (picture II, 1+2) 5 mm and is positioned 
     above the fastening screw (picture II, 3) of fuel filler.

Attention:

     Do not block water drain.

 9. Remove filler cap of fuel filler.
10. Install collar with slot water outlet to below.

Note:

    Grease collar with silicone grease
    (Not in the gluing compound seal area).

11. Install filler cap to fuel filler.
12. Install servo motor fuel filler cover.
13. Install locking of fuel filler flap.
14. Install fuel filler flap

    - see working procedure "Fuel Filler Flap, Remove and Install", 
      group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C.
