Gas Lifter Spring – Tailgate, Remove and Install

  Remove

Important:   Secure tailgate to prevent it from falling.

1.   Remove gas lifter spring from tailgate
•   Detach retaining clip (1) from gas lifter spring
•   Remove gas lifter spring from tailgate

  Install

2.   Install gas lifter spring on tailgate
•   Press gas lifter spring into tailgate
•   Attach retaining clip to gas lifter spring
