Guide Sleeve, Head Restraint – Front Seat,
Standard, Remove and Install
 Remove

Remove front seat head restraint 
|
Important: Damaged guide sleeves
for head restraints must be replaced. A second mechanic is required
to remove the head restraint guide sleeve.

Installation position of the guide sleeves:

Both guide sleeves, head restraint with engaging spring (1,
2)
|

|
| 5. |
Press head restraint guide sleeve (1) upwards with pliers and
at the same time compress both lugs (2) with screwdriver
|
| 6. |
I Shows position of right lug for head restraint guide sleeve
which is pressed to remove it. After releasing the two lugs (2),
pull guide sleeve upwards out of front seat backrest.

Install
| 7. |
Push guide sleeve into front seat backrest until it engages
|
| 8. |
Install front seat head restraint
|
