Upholstery/Pad – Front Seat, Remove and
Install
 Remove

Separate front seat backrest from front seat frame 
Note: For folding front
seat
|
| 3. |
Remove the upholstery covering (1), working around the edges of
the front seat frame
|
| 4. |
Unclip seat heating (2) wiring harness from front seat frame
and release
|
| 5. |
Unclip cover (3) of central wiring harness plug. Open
protective sheath (4) of wiring harness and expose wiring harness.
Unclip and remove wiring harness plug for heater mat (5) from the
central wiring harness plug on the back of the front seat.
Note: For the fold-down
front passenger seat: the removal of the locking bolt (2), as well
as the removal of the seat height adjustment lever (1) are no
longer necessary.

For vehicles with seat height adjustment
Note: Detach seat
height adjustment lever (1)

| 7. |
Unhook upholstery covering with pad (3) from front seat
frame
|
| 8. |
Unclip and remove upholstery covering from pad

Remove remains of clips from pad and upholstery covering
|
|
|
Install
| 9. |
Clamp upholstery covering onto pad
| • |
Sports seat 16 ring clips, standard seat 13 ring clips, folding
passenger seat 13 ring clips

| 10. |
Fit upholstery covering/pad to front seat
|
| 11. |
Install seat height adjustment lever
|
| 12. |
Attach front seat backrest to front seat frame
Note: For folding front
seat
|
| 13. |
Check the spacing of the wiring harnesses to moving parts of
the seat over the entire adjustment range of the front seat.

| 14. |
Attach wiring harness plug for heater mat to central wiring
harness plug for front seat, close cover of central wiring harness
plug, front seat, and fit protective sheath for wiring harness
