Lock – Rear Seat Backrest Locking Mechanism,
Remove and Install (Models F 08, F 68)
 Remove

The removal and installation of the locks on the rear seat
backrest locking mechanism is identical for the single component
and divided rear seat backrest
Note: Damaged locks on
the rear seat backrest locking mechanism are generally
replaced.

Detach upholstery covering/pad, single component rear seat
backrest

Upholstery covering/pad divided rear seat backrest

| 4. |
Detach actuation linkage (1), rear seat locking mechanism
|
| 5. |
Unscrew and remove collared bolt on rear seat backrest (back)
and unclip cover (2)
|
| 6. |
Remove lock of rear seat backrest locking mechanism from rear
seat backrest frame
|
|
Install
| 7. |
Lock, rear seat backrest locking mechanism
Note: Both collar bolts
of the lock of the rear seat backrest locking mechanism are
installed with bolt-locking compound 8
Nm . The Aftersales department maintains collar bolts (1)
and retaining washers (2) in its delivery programme.

Check the function of both locks of he rear seat backrest
catch.
