Replace wheel bearing (vehicle with disc
brakes)
Remove
Important: The wheel bearing is
part of the hub. If a fault occurs in the wheel bearing, the hub
must be replaced complete.

Release handbrake
|
2. |
Remove rear wheel.
Note: Mark position
relative to wheel hub.
|
3. |
Remove brake caliper retaining bracket with caliper

Remove brake caliper complete with linings and retaining
bracket, and suspend at suitable point
Note: If the brake
calliper cannot be removed, take out the brake linings .

Remove dust cap (3)
Note: The dust cap
cannot be removed without damage.
|
|
|
6. |
Detach wheel hub (1) from wheel journal
|
|
|
7. |
Clean wheel journal and thread on journal
|
Install
8. |
Coat wheel journal and inner ring of wheel bearing lightly with
oil
|
9. |
Fit new wheel hub (1) to wheel journal
• |
Slide wheel hub onto journal
|
• |
Tighten new nut (2) on wheel journal 175 Nm
|
• |
Fit new dust cap to wheel hub
|
|
|
|
11. |
Attach brake calliper
• |
Place brake caliper with linings and retaining bracket radially
over the brake disc
|
• |
Coat 2 x bolt (2) with locking compound and tighten 100 Nm
Note: If the brake
linings were removed: fit brake linings .

12. |
Attach rear wheel. 110 Nm
Note: Note marking.
