Vehicle with Drum Brake
 Remove
| 2. |
Detach wheel sensor wiring harness from bracket and from brake
line (arrows)

Separate wheel sensor (1) wiring plug
|
| • |
Detach grommet (2) from brake anchor plate
|
|
| 3. |
Support rear axle at the trailing link on the installation side
with a hydraulic jack.
|
| 4. |
Detach shock absorber from rear axle
|
| 5. |
Remove wheel journal from rear axle
| • |
Remove wheel journal with wheel sensor, ABS
|
|
|
|
Install
| 6. |
Install wheel journal and wheel sensor, ABS, on rear axle
| • |
Tighten 4x new bolts (1) 50 Nm +
30° +15°
|
|
| 7. |
Attach shock absorbers to rear axle
| • |
Tighten bolt (2)
| – |
Bolt M 10 x 1.25: 65 Nm
|
| – |
Bolt M 14 x 1.5: 110 Nm
|
|
|
| 8. |
Attach wiring harness, wheel sensor, ABS, to brake anchor
plate
| • |
Thread wiring harness for wheel sensor, ABS, through brake
anchor plate
|
Important: Ensure the grommet for
the wiring harness is seated correctly on the brake anchor
plate.

Attach grommet (3) to brake anchor plate
|
| • |
Connect wiring harness for wheel sensor, ABS, (4) and attach to
brake line and bracket (arrows)
|
|
|
|
| 9. |
Remove hydraulic jack.
