Lateral offset is the angle (2) between the contact line (1) of
the right or left wheel contact points from front to rear wheel and
the geometric driving axis (3).
The angle is positive if the front wheel is offset inwards in
relation to the rear wheel.
The lateral offset is generally given in degrees. If the wheel
base is known, length data is also possible.
