J635100 Cooling System, Check for Leaks (Z 18 XE)

  • KM-471

  Inspect

1.   Open bonnet
Warning:   Do not open coolant compensation tank cover until engine has cooled down
2.   Unscrew cover of coolant compensation tank
3.   Check coolant level.
•   If necessary, top up coolant to the KALT/COLD mark
4.   Attach cooling system tester (2)
•   Attach KM-471 (1)

5.   Apply pressure to cooling system
•   With approx. 100 kPa (1 bar)
6.   Check cooling system for leaks
•   Check for leaks
7.   Detach cooling system tester
•   Release pressure
•   Remove KM-471
8.   Close cover of coolant compensation tank
9.   Close bonnet
