Check axial play of crankshaft
Note: Checking takes
place with crankshaft bearing shells installed in cylinder block
and flywheel removed. Crankshaft is only placed loosely into
cylinder block.
Measure

Adjust dial gauge MKM-571-B

Place plunger onto front of crankshaft

Fit dial gauge MKM-571-B under
pre-tension

Set dial gauge MKM-571-B to "0"
|

Measure axial play of crankshaft

Slidecrankshaft in axial direction
|

Read off test value
| – |
Permitted axial play 0,055 –
0,265 mm
Note: Repeat
measurement several times!
