Features of the Z 13 DT DOHC diesel engine

The Ecotec series of engines has been expanded with an interesting diesel variant. The engine is a Common Rail diesel engine with multijet injection. Thanks to its compact design, it is now possible to offer torquey, economical diesel engines for the smaller models as well.

From model year 2004, the Z 13 DT engine will be available for the Corsa and Agila.

  • Multijet injection with 5 injection processes per expansion stroke
  • CP1 high-pressure pump from Bosch
  • Max. rail pressure of 1400 bar
  • MM 6JF engine management system
  • Electrically controlled exhaust gas recirculation valve with coolant cooling
  • Turbocharger with "wastegate"
  • Charge air cooling
  • Vertical oil filter housing with replaceable paper filter cartridge and flange-mounted oil filler neck
  • Twin-mass flywheel
  • Main catalytic converter located near engine
  • Euro 4 emissions grade

"ECOService-Flex" flexible oil change intervals for the Corsa-C (up to 50,000 km)

Oil change intervals for the Agila: every 2 years / 30,000 km

Engine timing with maintenance-free timing chain

Auxiliary components driven by a maintenance-free ribbed V-belt.

Fuel filter drained every 30,000 km and changed every 60,000 km.
