Pressure regulator - Z 13 DT DOHC diesel
engine
On the Z 13 DT engine the pressure regulating valve is bolted
into the pressure accumulator on the transmission side.
The pressure regulating valve has the task of regulating and
maintaining a system pressure of 1400 bar in the pressure
accumulator.
The pressure regulating valve has two
control circuits:
- a slower electrical control circuit for setting a variable mean
pressure in the pressure accumulator
- a faster mechanical/hydraulic control circuit which compensates
for high-frequency pressure pulsations.
