Location of vacuum pump

The vacuum pump (1) is mounted on the cylinder head and is
driven by the inlet camshaft.
This supplies the vacuum to the brake servo.

Tightening sequence for the vacuum pump on the Z
13 DT engine
• Service:
To ensure operational reliability, the vacuum pump must be
tightened in the sequence shown when fitting it to the cylinder
head.

Tightening sequence
|
- Tighten fastening bolt (1) - tightening torque 5 Nm
- Tighten fastening bolt (2) - tightening torque 5 Nm
- Tighten fastening bolt (1) again - tightening torque 20 Nm
- Tighten fastening bolt (2) again - tightening torque 20 Nm
