Oil Feed Line, Vacuum Pump, Replace (Z 17 DTH,
With Air Conditioning, LHD)
Remove
Important: On vehicles with ESP -
the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the
battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated

Disconnect battery

Detach ribbed V-belt cover
|

|
5. |
Remove ribbed V-belt
Note: Mark running
direction.
• |
Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow
|

|
|
6. |
Disconnect dynamic oil level check sensor wiring harness plug
(3)
|
7. |
Remove vacuum pump oil return hose (2)
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
|
8. |
Detach vacuum pump oil feed line (1)
|
|
|
9. |
Release alternator
• |
Unscrew and remove lower bolt
|
|
10. |
Remove oil supply line, vacuum pump
• |
Detach from cylinder block
|
|
Install
11. |
Install oil supply line, vacuum pump
• |
Tighten banjo bolt 24.5 Nm
|
|
12. |
Fasten alternator
• |
Tighten upper M8 bolt 18.6 Nm
|
• |
Tighten lower M10 bolt 46.1 Nm
|
|
13. |
Attach vacuum pump oil feed line
• |
Tighten banjo bolt 24.5 Nm
|
|
14. |
Install vacuum pump oil return hose
|
15. |
Connect dynamic oil level check sensor wiring harness plug
|
16. |
Install ribbed V-belt
Note: Observe running
direction and installation position
• |
Release tension from ribbed V-belt tensioner
|
|
17. |
Attach ribbed V-belt cover
|
20. |
Check and correct engine oil level
• |
Observe specified engine oil quantity
|
|
22. |
Program volatile memory
|
|
