Corsa C J Engine DOHC Diesel Engine Oil Circulating Repair Instructions

Oil Feed Line, Vacuum Pump, Replace (Z 17 DTH, With Air Conditioning, LHD)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
Important:   On vehicles with ESP - the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach ground cable
3.   Raise vehicle
4.   Detach ribbed V-belt cover
•   Unscrew 3 bolts (1)
•   Remove clip (arrow)

5.   Remove ribbed V-belt
Note:   Mark running direction.
•   Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow
•   Use KM-913-A

6.   Disconnect dynamic oil level check sensor wiring harness plug (3)
7.   Remove vacuum pump oil return hose (2)
•   Place collecting basin underneath.
•   Unclip hose
•   Release 2x clamp
8.   Detach vacuum pump oil feed line (1)
•   From vacuum pump
– Unscrew banjo bolt

9.   Release alternator
•   Loosen upper bolt
•   Unscrew and remove lower bolt
10.   Remove oil supply line, vacuum pump
•   Detach from cylinder block
– Unscrew banjo bolt

  Install

11.   Install oil supply line, vacuum pump
•   Replace 2x seal ring
•   Tighten banjo bolt 24.5 Nm
12.   Fasten alternator
•   Tighten upper M8 bolt 18.6 Nm
•   Tighten lower M10 bolt 46.1 Nm
13.   Attach vacuum pump oil feed line
•   Replace 2x seal ring
•   Tighten banjo bolt 24.5 Nm
14.   Install vacuum pump oil return hose
•   Secure 2x clamp
•   Clip in hose
15.   Connect dynamic oil level check sensor wiring harness plug
16.   Install ribbed V-belt
Note:   Observe running direction and installation position
•   Release tension from ribbed V-belt tensioner
•   Use KM-913
17.   Attach ribbed V-belt cover
•   Tighten 3 bolts
•   Fasten clip
18.   Lower vehicle
19.   Connect battery
•   Ground cable
20.   Check and correct engine oil level
•   Observe specified engine oil quantity
21.   Close bonnet
22.   Program volatile memory
