Ribbed V-Belt,. Replace > < J607300 Ribbed V-belt Tensioner, Replace (Y 17 DTL, without AC, LHD)

Ribbed V-belt Tensioner, Check (Y 17 DT, Y 17 DTL)

1. Open bonnet

Important:   On vehicles from model year 04 with ESP - the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated.

2. Raise vehicle

3. Remove ribbed V-belt cover

  • Unscrew 3 bolts (1)
  • Remove clip (arrow)

Note:   The check consists of a function check of the automatic ribbed V-belt tensioner and an inspection of the ribbed V-belt and the associated components.

5. Ribbed V-Belt Tensioner, Check

  • Note! Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner using fastening bolt (1) in direction of arrow using KM-913-A and allow to glide back slowly – ribbed V-belt tensioner must return to its initial position.

6. Install ribbed V-belt cover

  • Tighten 3 bolts
  • Install clip

7. Lower vehicle

8. Calibrate steering angle sensor

  • Switch on ignition

Note:   Rotate the steering wheel one time from its right-hand to its left-hand stop.

9. Close bonnet.
