Remove

Remove lower engine compartment cover / splash protection

Disconnect engine management wiring harness

Disconnect 9 wiring harness plugs

Disconnect wiring harness
|

|
|
Important: After the bracket has
been removed the accumulator must not be subjected to any external
force that would cause damage to the high pressure lines.
|

Remove the accumulator bracket
• |
Detach accumulator from bracket
|
• |
Remove the accumulator bracket
– |
Remove engine transport shackle
|
|
|
|
|
7. |
Remove 2 closure bolts
|
|
|
9. |
Fit 2x EN-46781 (1)
• |
Check for proper installation position
Note: The fixing
reference drift must be fitted in a horizontal position. Fit the
guide mark on the reference drift (arrows).

|
|
10. |
Turn engine in its direction of rotation
• |
To the torsional vibration damper bolt
Note: Second person
required. Ensure that the positioning mandrels do not twist.
|
• |
Turn engine in its direction of rotation until the fixing
reference drift audibly engages
|
|

Fit EN-46785 (1)
• |
In bore of transmission bell housing
Note: Position the
locating pin in the flywheel by carefully rotating towards the
torsional vibration damper bolt. If fixing is not possible, timing
must be adjusted.

Remove crankshaft locating pin
|
Install
14. |
Install lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
|
16. |
Remove 2 camshaft reference drifts
|
17. |
Fit 2 closure bolts
Note: Complete assembly
operations within 10 minutes

Use screw locking compound (red)
|

18. |
Install accumulator bracket
• |
Insert accumulator bracket with engine transport shackle
|
• |
Attach accumulator to bracket
|
|
19. |
Attach wiring harness for engine management
• |
Connect 9 wiring harness plugs
|
|
