J307000 Cylinder Head Cover, Remove and Install (Z 18 XE, with Air Conditioning, LHD)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet 2.   Remove engine cover. •   Unscrew oil filler pipe cap •   Remove 2 bolts •   Screw on oil filler pipe cap 3.   Remove ignition module •   Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) •   Unscrew 2 bolts •   Extract using KM-6009 (1) Note:   Do not tilt

4.   Release preheater line - throttle valve module (1) •   Unscrew 2 bolts •   Disconnect coolant temperature sensor wiring harness plug (4) 5.   Remove cylinder head cover •   Detach 2x engine vent hoses (2) •   Unclip oxygen sensor wiring harness (3) •   Unscrew 10 bolts •   Remove seal

  Install

6.   Clean sealing surfaces •   Cylinder head, cylinder head cover 7.   Install cylinder head cover •   Replace gasket (2) •   Apply sealant (1) Note:   Complete assembly operations within 10 minutes •   Tighten 10x bolts 8 Nm •   Attach engine vent hoses •   Clip in oxygen sensor cable
