Remove and install engine (Z 12 XE, Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP, without air conditioning, MT) > < Manual Transmission From/To Engine, Detach and Attach (Z 18 XE, with Air Conditioning, LHD)

J857400 Fuel Pressure, Check (Z 18 XE, with Air Conditioning, LHD)

  Inspect

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Remove engine cover.
•   Unscrew oil filler pipe cap
•   Unscrew 2 bolts
•   Screw on oil filler pipe cap
Important:   Observe safety precautions and national regulations
3.   Attach KM-J-34730-91 to fuel distributor pipe
•   Unscrew test connection protective cap
4.   Start engine.
•   Bleed fuel pressure gauge
•   Read fuel pressure from pressure gauge
– Nominal value 380 kPa +/- 20 kPa (3.8 bar +/- 0.2 bar)
5.   Switch off engine
•   Reduce fuel pressure at fuel pressure gauge
– Collect escaping fuel using a suitable container

6.   Detach KM-J-34730-91
•   Insert test connection protective cap
7.   Attach engine cover
•   Unscrew oil filler pipe cap
•   Insert retaining lugs
•   Tighten 2x bolts 8 Nm
•   Screw on oil filler pipe cap
8.   Close bonnet

Remove and install engine (Z 12 XE, Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP, without air conditioning, MT) > < Manual Transmission From/To Engine, Detach and Attach (Z 18 XE, with Air Conditioning, LHD)
