J635100 check cooling system for leaks (Z 14 XE, Z 16 YNG)

1. Open bonnet

2. Unscrew cover of coolant compensation tank

  • Caution: Only open coolant compensation tank cover once engine has cooled down

3. Check coolant level

  • Coolant compensation tank
    • To marking KALT/COLD – top up coolant if necessary

4. Attach cooling system tester (2)

  • Attach KM-471 (1)
 Object Number: 2410728 Size: DEFAULT

5. Apply pressure to cooling system

  • With approx. 100 kPa (1 bar)

6. Check cooling system for leaks

  • Check for leaks

7. Detach cooling system tester

  • Release pressure
  • Detach KM-471

8. Close cover of coolant compensation tank

9. Close bonnet.
