Replace Corsa C Starter: How to Replace the Engine Starter in the Corsa C

Starter, Replace

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
Important:   On vehicles as of model year 04 with ESP - every time the battery is disconnected, the steering angle sensor loses its basic setting. It must be recalibrated.
2.   Disconnect battery
3.   Remove transmission shift module LUREF_1.gif
4.   Detach starter
•   Detach transmission housing cover
•   Remove upper bolt
Note:   Make sure that the bolt cannot fall off.

5.   Raise vehicle
6.   Electrically disconnect starter
•   Unscrew 2 nuts (1)
7.   Remove starter
•   Unscrew and remove lower bolt
Object Number: 2411239 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

8.   Install starter
•   Screw in lower bolt
9.   Electrically connect starter
•   Tighten 2 nuts
10.   Lower vehicle
11.   Fasten starter
Note:   Make sure that the bolt cannot fall off.
•   Tighten upper bolt 25 Nm
•   Fit transmission housing cover
12.   Raise vehicle
13.   Fasten starter
•   Tighten lower bolt 25 Nm
14.   Lower vehicle
15.   Install transmission shift module LUREF_1.gif
16.   Connect battery
17.   Program volatile memory
18.   Close bonnet
