Throttle Valve Potentiometer > < Replace pedal travel sensor (Z 12 XE, Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP, with air conditioning, LHD)

Replace throttle valve module (Z 10 XE, Z 10 XEP, without air conditioning, LHD)

Remove

1.	Open bonnet

Remove suction pipe (4)

•	Unscrew 2 nuts

•	Detach engine venting hose from cylinder head cover (5)

•

On Z 10 XEP: Remove air intake hose

–	Release clamp

•

Disconnect 2 wiring harness plugs

–	Hot film mass air flow sensor (2), tank vent valve (1)

•

Remove hot film mass air flow meter (3)

–	Release 2x clamp

3.	Disconnect throttle valve module wiring harness plug (2)

Detach 2x throttle valve module preheater hoses (3, 4)

•	Release 2x clamp

Detach throttle valve module

•	Unscrew 4x bolt (1)

Install

6.	Clean sealing surfaces

Install throttle valve module

•	Replace gasket

•	Tighten 4x bolts 7 Nm

Attach 2x throttle valve module preheater hoses

•	Tighten 2 clamps

Connect throttle valve module wiring harness plug

•	Switch ignition on for 30 seconds (without engine running)

10.

Install suction pipe

•

Install hot film mass air flow meter

–	Secure 2x clamp

•

Connect 2 wiring harness plugs

–	Hot film mass air flow meter, tank vent valve

•

On Z 10 XEP: Fit air intake hose

–	Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm

•

Attach engine vent hose

–	Fasten clamp

•	Tighten 2 nuts 8 Nm

11.	Check and correct coolant level

12.	Close bonnet
