Replace parking lock assembly (AF13-II)

  Remove

1.   Remove transmission
2.   Attach KM-910 (2) to transmission
•   Attach assembly to bracket KM-113-2 (1) and lock in horizontal position
3.   Remove converter
4.   Detach converter housing from transmission housing
•   Unscrew 15x bolt (arrows)
5.   Remove valve body

6.   Unscrew nut (1)
7.   Remove selector lever position switch actuation lever (2)
8.   Bend open securing plate (4) and remove nut (3)
9.   Remove 2 bolts (5) and (6)
10.   Pull selector lever position switch (7) from selector lever shaft and transmission
11.   Remove locking spring, parking lock (8)
•   Unscrew 2x bolt

12.   Remove guide for parking lock claw
•   Remove sleeve (3) and torsion spring no. 2 (2)
– Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
13.   Remove parking lock claw (6)
•   Push out bolt (4) with torsion spring no.1 (5) with a screwdriver
14.   Remove bolt (7) for parking lock

15.   Detach actuating rod (1) for parking lock toothed section (2)
•   Tilt parking lock actuating rod backwards
16.   Remove spacer sleeve (3)
•   Cut through spacer washer at notch with hammer and appropriate chisel (4)
17.   Drive out locating pin with suitable drift (5).
18.   Remove transmission selector lever shaft (6) and toothed section
19.   Remove seal ring (7) for transmission selector lever shaft
•   lever out with suitable screwdriver

  Install

20.   Install seal ring for transmission selector lever shaft
•   Use new seal ring
•   drive in flush with a suitable socket wrench (1)
Note:   Ensure seal ring is installed in the correct position.
21.   Install transmission selector lever shaft (2) in transmission housing
•   With toothed segment (3)
•   With new spacer sleeve (4)
22.   Drive in new locating pin with suitable drift (5)
23.   Twist sleeve a little (arrow)
•   Caulk sleeve at groove of shaft
24.   Insert actuating rod for parking lock (6) into toothed section

25.   Insert bolt (1) for parking lock in transmission housing
26.   Install parking lock claw (4) in transmission housing
•   With bolt (2)
•   With torsion spring no.1 (3)
27.   Install guide for parking lock claw in transmission housing with 2 bolts (5), sleeve (7) and torsion spring no.2 (6)
•   Tighten guide for parking lock claw 10 Nm
28.   Attach parking lock locking spring (9) to transmission housing
•   Tighten 2x bolt (8) 10 Nm

29.   Remove 3 gaskets (1) and (2)
•   Clean sealing surfaces
Note:   No gasket residue may fall into transmission housing.
30.   Install valve body
31.   Insert 3 gaskets
•   Apply sealing compound
32.   Attach converter housing to transmission housing
•   Insert 2 bolts (3) with locking compound
•   Tighten 15x bolt (arrows) 25 Nm

33.   Place selector lever position switch onto selector lever shaft
34.   Attach nut to selector lever shaft with new retaining plate
•   Tighten nut 8 Nm
•   Secure nut with retaining plate
35.   Attach actuation lever to selector lever shaft with new nut
•   Tighten nut 16 Nm
36.   Put 2 bolts (1) into position
Note:   Do not tighten bolts yet.
37.   Install converter
38.   Detach assembly from bracket KM-113-2
•   Detach KM-910 from transmission
39.   Install transmission
40.   Adjust selector lever position switch LUREF_1.gif
41.   Tighten locking bolts 25 Nm
