Replace end shield cover gasket (F13/F13
MTA/F17/F17 new/F17+/F17+ MTA)
 Remove
| 1. |
Remove front left wheel
|
| 2. |
Remove inner wing protective panelling, left (1) 
|
| 3. |
Unclip wheel speed sensor wiring harness plug (2) from
bracket
|
| 4. |
Remove lower engine compartment cover
| • |
With "ECO" model variant
|
|
| 5. |
Detach end shield cover from transmission (arrows)
Note: If necessary,
release end shield cover by tapping gently with a rubber mallet.
Collect escaping transmission fluid.

Remove gasket remnants and clean sealing surfaces
|
|
|
Install
| 8. |
Fit end shield cover to transmission housing with new
gasket
| • |
Tighten M7 bolt (SW 11) 15 Nm
|
| • |
Tighten M8 bolt (SW 13) 20 Nm
|
|
| 9. |
Attach lower engine compartment cover
| • |
With "ECO" model variant
|
|
| 10. |
Clip wheel speed sensor wiring harness plug to bracket
|
| 11. |
Install left inner wing protective panelling
|
| 12. |
Fit left front wheel
| • |
Tighten front wheel 110 Nm
|
|
| 13. |
Check transmission fluid level and correct if necessary
|
|
