New glass remover / BO-46974

Conventional glass removing procedures are risky and time-consuming. In worst cases, the paintwork may get damaged and there is a risk of injury to the mechanics when they are removing the glass. In addition, removing the glass takes a lot of time and often requires two mechanics. In addition, the insurance class of a vehicle model after repair is a tricky and much-discussed topic.

A new tool set for removing glass has been developed for all Opel/Vauxhall vehicles.

This new method for replacing glass is a Swedish development which is not only time-saving and kinder to the environment, but also effectively prevents material damage and makes removal jobs more ergonomic, easier and safer.

This new system offers the following advantages over the wire and cutter methods used up till now:

• Non-destructive removal of virtually all panes of glass from current Opel / Vauxhall vehicles
• No damage to paintwork outside the adhesive bead
• Safe procedure
• Reduces labour time
• A second person is required only to remove and place the glass in position
• Less removal work in the passenger compartment, the only service part is the cutting wire which can only be used once

In the future, the wire cutting method used up till now, as well as the cutter method, will no longer be used for Opel / Vauxhall vehicles. The new tool set BO-46974 replaces all previously approved glass removal methods.
