Activated Carbon Canister, Remove and Install
 Remove
|
| 1. |
Separate front fuel tank degassing hose (1) from fuel tank
degassing line (2) at quick-release fitting (3) with KM-796 .

Remove right-hand front wheel
Note: Mark position
relative to wheel hub.
|
| 3. |
Remove inner protective housing of right-hand front wing 
Note: For Tigra-B
(model R97) detach protective panelling, front inner wing
|
| 4. |
Remove fastening bolts (5) and remove activated carbon canister
(4) from bracket.
|
| 5. |
Remove purging air hose (6) from nipple on activated carbon
canister
|
| 6. |
Remove active carbon filter

Draw front fuel degassing hose out of penetration in wheel
housing
|

|
Install
|
| 7. |
Thread front fuel tank degassing hose (1) through opening in
wheel housing and push purging air hose (6) onto nipple of
activated carbon canister.

| 8. |
Position activated carbon canister (4) on bracket and stud bolt
and install with fastening nut (5) – tightening torque 4 Nm .
|
| 9. |
Fit inner protective housing to right-hand wing
Note: For Tigra-B
(model R97): attach protective panelling, front inner wing
|
| 10. |
Install front right wheel according to marking on wheel hub
– tightening torque 110 Nm
|
| 11. |
Connect front degassing hose for fuel tank to fuel tank
degassing line (2) using a quick release coupling (3)
Note: Quick-release
fitting must engage perceptibly. When replacing the activated
carbon canister, the front fuel tank degassing hose must be
transferred.
